IAACT ATHLETE VICTERIE ASSAF
THIS IS MY STORY
To tell the truth, I’ve always been a sports enthusiast, but it’s not about my past, it’s about my present and future.
My accident occurred when I was going through a difficult part of my life, when this happened, lots of thing had to change… My way of thinking, training and life itself was different now.
After a long time of being depressed, under medication and rehab for pain, I made a choice, I needed to retake my passion for training and doing what I love, I did what needed to be done for that to take place, it was a slow process… I had to find new ways to do certain exercises, had to invent, adapt and overcome to lots of obstacles. With time and hard work, I developed my “own” technique if you will. I started lifting more weight, pulling faster times, this gave me the confidence I needed to be able to help others, get them through rough times, started giving motivational speeches regarding my struggle and how I came through all those hard and dark times I was in. of course without my family and friends, none of this would have happened… That was the foundation that gave me strength to accomplish all I’ve accomplished.
I did it! And it can always be done! The only obstacle… Is yourself.
